Why shouldn't Amazon accept Paypal?

We have always wondered at the checkout time in Amazon that why it doesn't accept Paypal. There is a reason and a solution behind it.

Reason:
                          You can't use Paypal in Amazon because PayPal is owned by Ebay. And Ebay is a competitor of Amazon.

Solution:
               Amazon must acquire a startup that is more capable than PayPal.
